Mission Ministry

The First-Century Church continued in doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers (Acts 2:42).

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42 (KJV)

These new Christians were united with the other believers, taught by the apostles, and included in the prayer meetings and fellowship. New believers need to be in groups where they can learn God’s Word, pray, and mature in the faith.

Every member of the deaf/HOH women should sense personal responsibility to pray and to give to the work of world evangelism. Our mission is not about geography; it is about obedience to God. Our work is to give ourselves to His mission in this world. We must use every means available to “preach the gospel to every creature.” In our efforts, nothing must ever substitute for praying to “the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.”

42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. Acts 5:42 (KJV)

Home Bible studies are not new. As the believers needed to grow in their new faith, home Bible studies met their needs and also served as a means to introduce new people to the Christian faith. During later times of persecution, meeting in homes became the primary method of passing on Bible knowledge. Christians throughout the world still use this approach when under persecution and as a way to disciple new believers, support one another, and worship God together.

They continued daily to. preach in public and in private the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Messiah who had come. They not only preached on the sabbath day, but every day, as surely as the day came.
